In May, dymaptic Software Engineers and Web Developers traveled to Seattle to attend Microsoft Build. The Build 2024 conference, with its strong emphasis on AI, offered a deep dive into the current and upcoming technologies from Microsoft. Key presentations included exploring the current AI landscape, advancements in Azure deployments, and insights into building ASP.NET applications using .NET Aspire. Attendees also enjoyed hands-on labs showcasing AI innovations and the newest features in .NET and MAUI.

A highlight for our team was the presentation on ChatGPT-4's architecture. This session delved into the enhancements over previous versions, the Azure infrastructure and resource requirements for complex language models, and future developments in building even larger models.

We also got to see the newly released .NET Aspire framework. This cutting-edge .NET application framework is tailored for cloud-first development, simplifying the creation of cloud-bound projects. Its streamlined tools and features are designed to help developers overcome common challenges and expedite the development process.

The conference featured discussions on integrating smaller language models into offline applications. These sessions highlighted strategies for incorporating these models in environments with limited or no internet access, as well as techniques for customizing them to better fit specific use cases.

Additionally, Microsoft previewed the upcoming features of .NET 9 and Blazor, which we’re excited to leverage in future releases of GeoBlazor.

The dymaptic engineering team gathered in Seattle to strengthen our connections and deepen our relationships. We left the conference not only with valuable insights but also with a renewed sense of team unity and a clear vision for the future.
